I found Google Drive to be reporting that I was using about 100GB more storage than I was actually using, I checked this by seeing how large the Drive folder on my machine is. Having recently done a Google Takeaway backup of my Google data I figured it was something to do with that. Having moved my Google Takeaway off of Drive onto a USB drive locked in a safe I had forgotten that Google kindly moves a copy of the moved (deleted from Drive so far as Google is concerned) into the Google Drive Bin. Having been to empty the Bin Google is now reporting the correct amount of space as being used.
Xibo is a high quality open source digital signage solution.
I’d been running into a problem when trying to upgrade Xibo to the latest version from a rather old version we had installed. As there were so many database scripts to run during the update process the process took longer than the timeout IIS was allowing for. Increasing the timeout solved the issue and is documented in the links below.
I encountered a problem in Forefront today where I received the following error message:
Name: Windows Azuer Active Directory Connector
Profile Name: Delta Import Delta Sync
The problem as I discovered was that the password for the user account used to authenticate DirSync had expired. Once the passowrd was changed, the Directory Sync Configuration program was rerun. Syncs are now occurring as expected.
Uninstall Online Services Sign-in Assistant before installing DirSync as DirSync will try to install an older version and fail. Once DirSync installed the latest version of Online Services Sign-in Assistant can be installed.
Find the line starting with GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT, and add video=hyperv_fb:[the resolution you want]. The resolution I want is 1440x900. So my line ends up looking like this: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash video=hyperv_fb:1440x900"
Write the changes and quit nano by pressing CTRL-O followed by enter to output the changed to the same file and then CTRL-X to exit.
